Jones Criteria for Rheumatic Fever

Major Minor
  • Migratory arthritis

  • Carditis and valvulitis (eg, pancarditis)

  • Erythema marginatum

  • CNS involvement (Sydenham's chorea)

  • Subcutaneous nodules

  • Fever

  • Arthralgia

  • ESR / CRP elevation

  • Prolonged PR interval

  • Elevated or rising ASO

 

The presence of two major or one major and two minor following a streptococcal infection is considered positive.
